Story

William Goerdes was brought into Dr. Gerson's office on a stretcher. He
was in his early forties; however, his spine was totally paralyzed with
ankylosing spondylitis. He had worked in the construction business and
was obviously completely disabled.

On the Gerson Therapy, his pain was relieved and he started to move.
It took a year before he was able to get up and walk. As it turns out, the
family did not have an electric juice extractor, so the wife ground up the
vegetables, then pressed them through a tight cloth by hand to make
juice! Within a few years, he was completely cured to the point where, at
age 50, he was able to go back to heavy iron work in the construction
business. He remained well and able to walk totally erect for the rest of
his life.

His son, in his early twenties, also contracted ankylosing spondylitis,
pointing to the possibility that the tendency to develop this disease is
genetic. He healed himself and, according to his grandmother, is presently
in good health.

Much later, when William was 82 years old, his wife passed away. At
that time, while he continued to be in excellent health, he started to date
actively and loved to dance. He only complained that his girlfriends
always became ill and died. We suggested that he pick younger ones. He
answered that he had done that but those, too, died! He lived to the age
of 97, in good physical and mental health, and died of pneumonia.
