Charlotte Gerson's booklet
Story
Note: This story of the recovery of chiropractor Gwinn Dunbar of
Wyckliffe, Kentucky, when given help from his old friend, Earl
Taylor, is poorly documented. We only have second-hand information
on this case. But the story connected with it is so good that
we couldn't resist including it.
Earl Taylor of Cairo, Illinois, a 6th grade dropout, had worked
in a junkyard all his life. In 1966, at age 69, he was given only a
few months to live because his prostate cancer had spread to his
bones and lymph nodes. As best he could, he followed the Gerson
Therapy, using Dr. Gerson's recently published book, A Cancer
Therapy. He did very well, had increased energy, suffered no more
pain, and was clearly recovering. (See the booklet Healing Prostate
& Testicular Cancer the Gerson Way.)
Then something incredible happened: later in the same year, as
he was still in the recovery process, he received a call from a
chiropractor friend in Kentucky, Dr. Gwinn Dunbar. He told Earl
that he was dying of lung cancer, spread through both lungs
- and asked if Earl could come and show him how to do the
therapy that was apparently curing Earl's cancer.
Earl then traveled to Dr. Dunbar's home in Wyckliffe, Kentucky
and helped him set up, prepare and apply the Gerson Therapy.
Both cancer patients fully recovered.
Fifteen years later, in 1981, both men were still alive and well.
When the Gerson Institute celebrated Dr. Gerson's 100th anniversary
in October of that year, Earl was invited, along with some 50
other "cured 'incurables'" to come and testify about his experience.
By then 84 years old, he had never flown in an airplane and
was rather shaken by the prospect of this new experience. But he
came anyway ... and told of his recovery to the amazed audience.
So this is the wonderful story of how Earl Taylor, who dropped
out of school after the 6th grade, managed to heal both himself
and a friend of "terminal cancer," by reading Dr. Gerson's book
and eiplicitly following his directions.
Earl died in his late 80's .. Dr. Dunbar, who was a good deal
younger, lived many more years; however we heard from his son
that he eventually passed away.
